Beck, 90, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, at her residence.She was born Jan. 18, 1927, to William Joseph and Lina Grace (Edmiston) Buggy in Indiana.Marie was a former cook for Greendale Restaurant.She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Smicksburg, and the Dayton American Legion Auxiliary #995.Marie is survived by her daughter, Donna Greger (Bob), of Dayton; two granddaughters, Nancy (David Allison) Boyer, of Dayton, and Anita Marie Lentz and fianc? Johnnie Gay, of Midlothian, Va.; grandchildren Courtney Young, Andrew Patterson, Autumn Patterson, Lakyn Lentz and Jonah Lentz; and great-grandchildren Brooklyn and Madison Young and James and Wesley Patterson.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Laird Kenneth Beck, who died Feb. 15, 1990; brothers Charles, Jim, Tom, Lawrence and William; sisters Margaret and Mary; and three infants.Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home Inc., 724 W. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at her home after a four-year battle with cancer. She was born Oct. 3, 1971, in Kittanning.Jodi married Stephen Ryan on May 18, 1996.She was a 1989 graduate of Shannock Valley High School. Jodi received her BSN from Duquesne University in 1993 and her MSN/CRNP from the University of Pittsburgh.She was a member of Delta Zeta and Sigma Theta Tau Honors Society in nursing.Jodi also received a Graduate Certificate in Business from Indiana University.She previously worked at UPMC, then moved to St. Louis to begin her career with Eli Lilly, later moving to Indianapolis to finish out her career in 2016.Jodi was a member of St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church, and was very strong in her faith until the very end.She loved to travel, visiting many countries and making new friends everywhere she went. Jodi especially loved her yearly camping trips and Hilton Head trips with her many friends and family. She loved her family and always made them a priority in her life. Jodi was always caring and considerate, never forgot to write a thank-you note, and never missed an opportunity to let people know how much they meant to her. She always set goals for herself, then made them reality.Jodi is survived by her husband, J. Stephen Ryan; and daughter Alayna and son Cole, all of Fishers; her brother, Shawn Howells, of Yatesboro; her mother, Mary Chambers (Samuel) Shirley, of Rural Valley; fathers Kenneth (Lily) Howells, of Marion Center, and Leland (Cheryl) Weston, of Rural Valley; grandparents Ethlyn and William Howells, of Marion Center; in-laws Stephen and Shirley Ribich, of Monongahela; sister-in-law Michelle (David) Judy, of Irwin; nephews Joshua Howells and David Judy; and nieces Ella Howells and Megan Judy.She was preceded in death by her grandparents Rose, in 2001, and Robert V.
